Keep financial terminology consistent across every filing

BluTranslate translates financial documents across 120+ languages. A term you pre-define in the glossary is applied on every occurrence, in native files, in scanned statements recovered by OCR, and through the API. Reviewers stop checking whether a line item was named the same way twice. Product behaviour as of 22 September 2026.

How the glossary works in practice

    1. Scope it to the workspace. Terminology is scoped per workspace, so the fund-reporting team and the deal team keep separate lists, and a namespace holds one client’s or one entity’s terms.
    2. Add terms as pairs. Each entry is a source term, its approved translation and the language pair it applies to. An entry can differ by pair, so Traditional Chinese for Taiwan and Simplified Chinese can carry different renderings. Multi-word phrases are controlled, not just single words, and there is no cap on entries.
    3. Select the glossary when you translate. Under Advanced options, choose Custom Glossary and the namespace. The glossary applies as a constraint on the engine, not a suggestion. Strictness is set per entry, so a term that must inflect in German, Polish, Russian, Finnish or Arabic can be left flexible.
    4. Review figures, not wording. With names fixed, review time goes to the numbers, the note references and the audit opinion rather than to terminology drift.

Glossary behaviour as described at bluente.com/enterprise/glossary, read 22 September 2026. Glossary content, like your documents, is never used to train models. Import is not self-serve today: keep the master list in the spreadsheet you uploaded from.

    Worked example: “impairment”

A group’s IFRS financial statements go to auditors and regulators in six markets. Left to itself, an engine may render “impairment” one way in the accounting policies and another in the notes, or slide into the word for a currency devaluation. One glossary entry per language pair fixes the rendering your finance team has chosen:

    Target languagePinned rendering
    Chinese (Simplified)减值 (not 贬值, devaluation)
    Japanese減損
    Korean손상
    GermanWertminderung
    Spanishdeterioro del valor
    Indonesianpenurunan nilai

The same entry applies in the balance sheet, the notes and the audit report, and to a scanned copy of the statements after OCR.

Which certifications apply to financial document translation? ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2 Type I and GDPR-ready contracting

As of 22 September 2026, every document translated on BluTranslate, whether a set of statements, a prospectus or a KYC file, is processed under Bluente’s ISO/IEC 27001 information-security management system and covered by its SOC 2 Type I report, which assesses the design of controls for security, availability and confidentiality. For matters subject to the GDPR, Bluente provides GDPR-ready contracting: a Data Processing Agreement, EU Standard Contractual Clauses and a documented sub-processor chain. Personal data is handled under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012. Enterprise workspaces add SAML or OIDC single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, role-based permissions and audit logs covering uploads, downloads, administrative changes and retention events.

Are our financial statements and deal documents encrypted in transit and at rest?
Yes. Files are encrypted in transit and protected with AES-256 encryption at rest. Uploaded and generated files are deleted automatically within 24 hours, and stricter retention controls are available for enterprise deployments. Statement current as of 22 September 2026.
Can BluTranslate use our financial documents to train its models?
No. Your documents, your corrections and your glossary content are not used to train Bluente’s models or any third-party shared model, and they are not permanently stored on Bluente’s servers. A private model trained on your own approved material is a separate, opt-in contract and serves your workspace only. Policy as published on 22 September 2026.
Can documents for one fund or entity be kept in a specific region?
Yes. The processing region can be pinned, and with a private deployment documents stay inside your own cloud tenancy or network. Ask sales which regions apply to your workspace. Statement current as of 22 September 2026.

Deploy in your own cloud or on-premises

Four deployment options are available as of 22 September 2026: Bluente’s region-pinned multi-tenant service, a single-tenant instance, your own AWS or Azure tenancy, or an on-premise install inside your network with no outbound connection. In the last two, documents never cross your perimeter.

    Multi-tenant

Bluente’s environment, region-pinned, isolated per workspace, files auto-deleted within 24 hours.

Operated by Bluente. Fastest to update. The default.

    Single-tenant

A dedicated instance, isolated from other customers.

Operated by Bluente. Updates arrive on an agreed schedule. Higher cost.

    Your own cloud

Your AWS or Azure tenancy. Documents never leave your account.

Shared operations. You carry the infrastructure cost and set the upgrade windows.

    On-premise

Inside your network, no outbound connection required. Runs against models you already host and have already cleared.

Operated by you. Bluente supplies the document layer: parsing, OCR, terminology, reassembly and quality.

Options as described at bluente.com/enterprise/private-deployment, read 22 September 2026. Every option works with SAML or OIDC against your existing identity provider. A private model trained on your approved bilingual filings can run in any of them. See the enterprise overview and security and compliance, or discuss private deployment with sales.

Translate financial statements without disturbing the numbers

Income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, notes and the audit report come back in the same layout, with tables intact, line-item names fixed by your glossary, and a bilingual copy for the reviewer. What comes back with its structure preserved

    • Complex financial tables in PDF, DOCX, PPTX and XLSX
    • Multi-period columns, subtotals and note references in their original positions
    • Bilingual side-by-side output, so a reviewer ticks each figure against the source

    • Batches of statements for several entities, processed together

    What the glossary pins

    • Line-item names such as revenue, cost of sales, impairment and deferred tax
    • Standard and form names: IFRS, local GAAP, MAS returns, SEC filings
    • Entity, fund and share-class names
    • Multi-word phrases such as “other comprehensive income”

    What reviewers still check

    • Subtotals and totals against the source
    • Thousands and decimal separators for the target market
    • Note cross-references and page references
    • The audit opinion wording against the auditor’s approved translation
    • Rounding notes and currency headers
